Again....

The Benjamin's were over last night for Family Home Evening and we had a great time on our scripture treasure hunt. BUT, they are not familiar with our rules and the urgency required to shut the bathroom door QUICKLY after yourself. :)

I'm not sure what it looks like to you in there, but it is only the pieces to Payton's McDonald's kitchen.

Our house guests

We had some very special house guests here this last weekend staying with us.  Eltrut and Ross, the sea turtles from Brennan and Payton's classes at school, both got to spend the weekend at our home.  They brought their luggage with all of their clothes and toys and books, and we helped them write about all the fun they were having in their journals.  We even showed them a picture of their long lost cousin that we saw while snorkeling a few weeks ago, and that made them happy. They were both very well-mannered house guests.

We found Payton's shoe again! And the pacifier! And the 409! And the sippy cup! And the medicine cap! And Brennan's shoes!

As stated before in an earlier post (see here), it is so exciting to run to the bathroom in the 15 free seconds that you have while taking care of little children, and spend 10 of those 15 seconds fishing something or another out of the toilet.  Seriously, you would think that we would learn a lesson sometime soon....

A baby sleeping... again...

I know I've said it before, and posted pictures before, and that this is really only something that "mama" can fully appreciate. But I really just love a baby sleeping... so sweet.

"Iron Duke" battleship tour

To help celebrate the St. Kitts 25 year Independence Day, a British battleship named "Iron Duke" came into port.  Payton's class at school was invited to take a tour of the ship with one parent, and there was an extra spot at the last minute for Brennan to go along also.  They had a great time seeing different parts of the ship, a helicopter, etc., but Adrian may have enjoyed it the most.

The 4th of July!

We celebrated the 4th of July by watching fireworks with friends. Um, actually, it was the St. Kitts 25th Independence Day that was celebrated here with fireworks at the port where the cruise ships come in, but since there were no festivities here for our American 4th of July, we celebrated and were thankful for the independence of all people of the world who seek and fight for a free and independent nation.

Identity crisis

I think he knows he is a boy.... he loves balls and trucks and throwing things at people and pulling his sister's hair, but sometimes a guy's gotta get in touch with his feminine side.

Creepy crawly creatures in St. Kitts

For those of you who know me, you'll know how happy I am to report that, "YES," there are tarantulas here in St. Kitts, and that I have had the great pleasure of seeing one up close.  Great, now I am going to have nightmares from thinking about it again.

Adrian's birthday dinner

We made a big birthday dinner for Adrian and ate outside under the stars.

Ahhhhh.... such romance....

Especially with the 3 rugrats!

The cutest boy under 14 months there!

The only casualties were the chickens that we ate for dinner and the glass top table that we borrowed from the neighbor.... oops!

For Adrian's birthday present, we decided to splurge this year and buy a beautiful new glass top table for the above mentioned neighbor.

BFF partayyyyy!

Lexy has been in St. Kitts visiting us.  We have been having a "nice, great," hilarious time.  I'll post more when she leaves and I have some free time and a chance to get on the computer.  :)
